What does it actually smell like?

For the first 30 to 60 minutes, exactly what the product page says — bergamot, vanilla, tobacco, jasmine, depending on the candle. After that it smells like a full diaper.

When does it turn?

Between thirty and sixty minutes after lighting. It is not to the second, and it will not sneak up on you — when it turns, you will know.

Is the nice part fake?

No. The opening is made with real fragrance oils and poured by hand. That is what makes the rest of it work.

How do I make it stop?

Blow it out and open a window. It fades like any candle scent, faster with airflow. It does not cling to fabric the way smoke does.

Is it safe?

It is a normal candle and carries normal candle risks: never burn it unattended, keep it away from flammables, children, and pets, and use a heat-safe surface. Do not light it around anyone with breathing difficulties, or anywhere people cannot leave the room.

Can I return one I have lit?
